It is our belief

that every person, regardless of age or circumstance, adds to the success of the community through their contributions.
In the past year,

over 3,000 young children, youth and families were impacted by the programs of the Council on Rural Services. It is with a positive spirit that we join others in meeting our communities' challenges in making a better place for all of us to live.

Janet Julian - Community Rep

Ms. Julian joined the Board of Trustees in 2006, because: "I have a passion for the work that is done at Council on Rural Services. I have seen how the services they provide have made a difference in the lives of children, parents, and teens. The staff is very dedicated and professional." Janet is Senior Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville, and has served in various other management positions. She has a BA in Social Work from Manchester University and a Masters in Social Work from University of Cincinnati. Janet has also acted as a member of her local and district church boards.

Janet resides in Greenville, which is her home town and where she has lived most of her adult life. She has been married to Dave Julian for the past 34 years and they have two married daughters and four grandchildren. She loves visiting restaurants and experiencing new foods, but also cooking while at home. Her family enjoys vacations at the beach whenever possible.
